Ana Diaz (she/her) is a culture writer at Polygon, where she gets to run around (online) and uncover a wide variety of stories touching on internet culture, fandom, and video games. Oftentimes, that means covering TikTok trends or shouting about Pokémon or The Legend of Zelda, but you can also find her explaining the latest trends online.
Ana got her start in writing by covering local game scenes at the website Twin Cities Geek, and eventually became an editorial intern at Polygon. She went on to become a nationally syndicated writer whose work has appeared in NPR, Wired, The Verge, and more. Outside of Polygon, she is a guest contributor at MinnMax and co-hosts Cream of the Steam, a Twitch show where she and her friend play games reminiscent of sleep paralysis demons.
